Technology in the classroom has become more prevalent these past few years. We’ve found some fantastic online resources that will make life in the classroom a lot easier and a lot more fun.

 1. Google for Education Training Center

What better way to get started with your Chromebook than by learning from the people who created it? Google has created an online training center that has a wide range of modules that take you through the basic setup of your machines right through to advanced skills to really maximize your classroom experience. The best part is you can go through these courses at your own pace and whenever you have the time.

2. G Suite for Education

This is the resource designed by Google for use in schools. It matches perfectly with the functionality of a Chromebook – which isn’t surprising since they’re from the same people. The range of tools allows you and your students to truly collaborate and learn together. You’ll find all of the basics that your kids will need to create projects, write papers and communicate with ease.

3. Chromebook Classroom on YouTube

This YouTube channel has an array of videos that are all aimed at helping schools and teachers with Chromebooks to use them more effectively. It showcases hour-long webinars and short how-tos to help you get to grips with the basics and some of the more interesting applications. It even has a few videos aimed at students.

This mini website has great step-by-step instructions for setting up your Chromebooks and getting to grips with all the functionality it allows. You’ll find useful screenshots and detailed descriptions of each element – even a breakdown of keyboard shortcuts to maximize your efficiency.
